We Day is an annual event that inspires hundreds of thousands of young people to act globally. Started in 2007 by Free the Children, the organization founded by Craig and Marc Kielburger to create social change through the volunteer efforts of youth, We Day is the call that brings a generation together—dedicated to educating, engaging and empowering socially conscious youth to become agents of change.
This year’s We Day Toronto (October 2) and We Day Vancouver (October 22) will bring together over 40,000 students in a celebration of this global mindset. In Toronto, we’re thrilled that Colonel Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian to both complete a spacewalk as well as to command the International Space Station, will be on-hand to address the crowd, with four-time Olympian Silken Laumann speaking to the students in Vancouver.
