Yossi Ghinsberg
Adventurer | Amazon Survivor | Inspiration for the Movie Jungle
Yossi Ghinsberg knows survival like almost no one else. When he was just 21 years old, he made headlines around the world for having survived in the Amazon rainforest for three weeks, alone. Today, Yossi draws on the lessons he learned from his ordeal to show organizations what they too must do to “survive” in the corporate jungle. An epic storyteller, his unique insights are counter-intuitive and transformational.
As an author, Yossi’s memoir of his unexpected adventure, Jungle, sold millions of copies around the world, and aired as a docudrama on the Discovery Channel. The bestselling book was also turned into a major motion picture starring Daniel Radcliffe, released in 2017.
An entrepreneur, Yossi is the co-founder and director of the Chalalan Ecolodge in the Amazon basin. The lodge is an eco-tourism village formed in partnership with the indigenous tribes in the area, and was the first of its kind at its inception.
A dedicated humanitarian, Yossi also served as the vice-president of development for The Center for Investigation and Treatment of Addiction. In this role, he founded 12 centers for the treatment and research of opiate addiction in different parts of the world from Mexico to China. In Australia, Yossi founded The Alma Libre Foundation, dedicated to assisting opiate addicts and provide rehabilitation options for re-integration into society.
