Yvonne Camus is a high-performance expert with over two decades of experience inspiring leaders and teams to excel under pressure, lead with purpose, and perform at their best when it matters most. Her presentations blend adventure storytelling with practical takeaways on resilience, high performance, and collaboration.
Camus’ journey began in athletics, where she was named Athlete of the Year and MVP in high school, and later won a CIAU national championship as part of the University of Toronto’s rowing team. She holds degrees in both kinesiology and nutrition and launched her career in health and wellness with The Fitness Institute in Toronto, rising to Executive Vice President and serving on the Board of Directors during her 12-year tenure.
In 2000, Camus represented Canada as the only female member of Team Canada at the World Championships of Expedition Racing in Borneo, Malaysia. Her team made history as the first all-rookie team to complete in what was then considered the world’s toughest endurance race. The televised story of their perseverance, teamwork, and leadership under extreme pressure sparked Camus’ career as a keynote speaker. Over the past 20+ years, she has delivered more than 500 keynote presentations across North America, captivating audiences as large as 25,000 for leading organizations such as GE, GM, Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, and TD Bank.
Camus has also held several senior leadership roles in the fitness and wellness industries. As COO of World Health Edmonton (2015–2018), she led the company through a major repositioning into the premium market and supported the successful launch of Orangetheory Fitness in Canada. At SPINCO, where she served as COO from 2018–2020, she led Canada’s largest boutique indoor cycling company through explosive growth and launched SPINCO @HOME to compete in the digital fitness space during the global pandemic.
Most recently, Camus has returned to her entrepreneurial roots as founding partner and COO of a fast-growing chain of franchised pickleball clubs across Canada — combining her passion for sport, innovation, and building high-performance teams.
