Jessica Campbell is a leadership and performance expert who helps organizations build courageous leaders, resilient teams, and winning cultures. As the first woman to serve as a full-time coach behind an NHL bench and a former Canadian National Team player, she has spent her career earning trust and leading in some of the world’s most demanding environments. Her extraordinary journey has reinforced one defining truth: sustained success is not built on talent alone. It is built on belief. Today, she helps organizations build leaders who inspire belief, strengthen culture, and unlock high performance.
Currently the Manager of Player Development with the New Jersey Devils, Campbell spent two seasons serving as an assistant coach with the Seattle Kraken. Prior to joining the NHL, she was the first woman to coach at the IIHF Men’s World Championship, serving on Germany’s national team staff while coaching the Nürnberg Ice Tigers. A year later, she joined the Coachella Valley Firebirds as the AHL’s first full-time female bench coach.
Campbell’s coaching career began in skill development, where she built a reputation as one of the game’s most sought-after skating coaches. As founder of JC Powerskating, she trained players from youth to NHL level, including Stanley Cup champion Joel Edmundson and Olympic gold medallist Natalie Spooner. Before coaching, Campbell captained Canada to its first U18 Women’s World Championship gold in 2010, won four Ivy League titles at Cornell, and earned World Championship silver with Canada’s senior team in 2015.
At the heart of her keynotes is one simple philosophy: every breakthrough begins with belief. Through powerful storytelling and practical leadership frameworks, Campbell translates the lessons of elite sport into strategies that help leaders and teams perform at their best in any industry, tailoring every presentation to the unique goals of her audience.
