Speakers’ Spotlight is thrilled to announce that Paula Sage has joined the company in the newly-created position of chief operating officer. Paula arrives with a wealth of experience, having spent 20 years with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (formerly Certified Management Accountants of Ontario-CMAO), spending the past 10 years there as Director of Professional Development.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Paula join our growing team,” said Martin Perelmuter, president and co-founder of Speakers’ Spotlight. “Her extensive experience in the events industry, expertise in managing people and processes, strong ethical orientation, and contagious positivity will be a huge asset as we embark on the next twenty years of our entrepreneurial journey.”
Paula’s experience managing operations for CMAO included training and development, conferences and events, business development, networking, career support services, facilities and managing a team of more than 20 employees. She also brings a very strong focus on strategy development, customer service, relationships and an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit to her new position.

Paula’s passion for the events industry began while she was studying at Trent University, where she worked in the university’s conference centre during her summers. She then attended Centennial College, where she obtained a Diploma in Conference and Event Planning. She is now working to complete her Master’s in Business Administration through the Edinburgh Business School.
