Steven Page Serenades Ryan Reynolds in Honour of Governor General’s Award

Vancouver’s Ryan Reynolds was honoured with a Governor General’s Performing Arts Award, and in celebration the Barenaked Ladies’ co-founder Steven Page performed a touching original song in tribute.

Known for his love of his hometown and support for Canadian Causes, Steven celebrates Ryan’s accomplishments and proclaims that “Canada loves you back” in this upbeat and hilarious tune, with cameos from other Canadian icons, including William Shatner and former Canucks stars Stan Smyl and Henrik and Daniel Sedin.

Ryan shared the video via social media, calling Steven “a friend and legend for wasting this amazing song on me.”
