Barb Stegemann Named a Top Keynote Speaker by Real Leaders Magazine

Business and leadership magazine Real Leaders released their list of the Top 40 Women Keynote Speakers of 2020 earlier this month, and among the ranks of the “high-achieving women, from across the worlds of business, athletics and entertainment” on the list is The 7 Virtues CEO Barb Stegemann.

Introducing the group, the author of the list writes: “These leaders have stayed relentless in their commitment to making a difference (digitally and virtually for now) and have found their voices needed more than ever.”

Coincidentally, Barb also published a piece on LinkedIn this month wherein she tells the story of her journey as a public speaker. From early jitters at community and school events, to first appearing on television as a contestant on Dragons’ Den, she herself calls it a “wild zig zag path” which nevertheless has lead her to acclaim as a keynote speaker who has presented in the US, UK, and Canada.

Barb Stegemann’s entrepreneurial vision was formed after her best friend—a soldier—was severely wounded in Afghanistan. Understanding that supporting Afghanistan’s economy was key to building stability for its people, Barb launched The 7 Virtues out of her garage armed with only a dream to help war-ridden nations rebuild. Her company sources organic, fair trade essential oils from countries experiencing turmoil (such as Afghanistan, Haiti, Rwanda and beyond). Despite addressing complex global matters in her talks, Barb uses humour to show how individuals can use business for good and effect change, both at home and across the globe.
