A proud partner to the meetings industry community, Speakers’ Spotlight was delighted to be called upon this summer to create two fabulous programs for FICP (Financial & Insurance Conference Planners)!
For the June 2015 FICP Education Forum in Washington, we partnered with sponsor Business Events Canada to design a speaker showcase and in-depth workshops with insights on personal branding, technology trends, and creativity.
CNBC on-air contributor and panel-moderator extraordinaire Carol Roth did double duty as emcee and speaker, explaining the ins and outs of “elevator pitching” to get your message across to decision-makers in the fastest and most effective way; as informative as he is entertaining, marketing expert Max Valiquette presented his ever-popular keynote, “Trends with Benefits,” to explain how companies can capitalize on shifting demographics and disruptive technologies; and branding and creativity expert Ron Tite also shared emcee duties, proving himself to be as funny as he is informative before delving into his session on how to win the ever-increasing fight for people’s time with your marketing and advertising efforts.
For the August 2015 FICP Summer Symposium in Montreal, in a similar format of “keynote and in-depth session to follow”, Speakers’ Spotlight provided two speakers to share their perspectives on leadership.
Celebrated social entrepreneur Mark Brand, best-known for resurrecting Vancouver’s Save-On-Meats enterprise, shared his message of the importance of sustainable business models and conscious capitalism, while Turn Your Ship Around bestselling author Captain David Marquet explained how he took the USS Santa Fe from “worst to first” by empowering his people and turning them into leaders, not followers.
