Darren Dahl Ranks #1 in the World for Marketing Research

Congratulations to marketing professor Darren Dahl, who was recently named #1 worldwide for research productivity in the world’s premier marketing journals, according to a new ranking  published by the American Marketing Association.

Dahl, who is currently the Senior Associate Dean of Faculty and Research and the B.C. Council Innovation Professor at the University of British Columbia, topped the ranking of the foremost 50 researchers by having 13 studies published between 2010 to 2014 in the world’s top journals, including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research and Marketing Science.

A global leader in the study of consumer behaviour, Dahl’s recent research looks at how retail staff attitudes affect luxury sales, how consumers ascribe moral value to food choices, and the influence of sexual content in advertising.
