Breakdancing sensation Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli simply cannot be stopped. His philosophy, “no excuses, no limits” is proven with every challenge he accepts, and his latest is no exception. Born with arthrogryposis, a rare muscle disorder that limits motion in the joints, Luca uses braces to walk (and dance!); but, on Saturday, July 26th, Luca will perform a 2.5km trek in Montreal without any help from his crutches.
“For me, my dream has always been to take more and more steps,” says Luca. He notes that when he tried a similar 1km walk in 2010, he fell almost once every minute—but completed the walk nonetheless. Luca’s been training hard for this 2.5km challenge, and has discovered strength he never knew he had.
