For more than 50 years, the annual Massey Lecture series has brought contemporary thinkers with unique perspectives and experiences to a national and international audience. Notable Massey Lecturers include Margaret Atwood, Doris Lessing, Stephen Lewis, Thomas King and Martin Luther King, Jr.
This fall, the Massey Lectures will be given by our speaker Lawrence Hill. His lectures are titled, Blood: The Stuff of Life, and are a bold meditation on blood as an historical and contemporary marker of identity, belonging, gender, race, class, citizenship, athletic superiority, and nationhood. The lectures are drawn from his new book, Blood: The Stuff of Life.
Lawrence will deliver five Massey Lectures across Canada from October 15 to November 1, 2013.
