The inaugural 2013 Canadian Screen Awards broadcast gala took place last night (Sunday, March 3, 2013), and saw Dragons’ Den, Gerry Dee, and Brian Williams all walk off the red carpet with trophies in-hand.

Dragons’ Den, which stars David Chilton, Bruce Croxon, Arlene Dickinson, Kevin O’Leary, Jim Treliving, and host Dianne Buckner, was chosen as the “Best Reality Competition Show.” Gerry Dee, star of the hit comedy Mr. D, took home the award for  “Best Actor in a Comedy Series,” and sportscaster Brian Williams was selected as the winner of the “Sports Host or Analyst” category for his coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
