As the president of MH Partners Inc., a boutique consulting firm, she helps leaders and organizations navigate a new era of business ethics and reputational risk, diving deep into what ethical leadership looks like in an era of polarization, complexity, and change.
Hamel is an ethicist who spent 11 years working in the ethics office of a large organization and founded an Instagram-based ethical fashion marketing firm that generated over $1 million in responsible sales in its first corporate year. She has a unique ability to make ethics interesting and draws on first-hand experience to help everyone from Boards to front-line employees identify and mitigate risks related to moral polarization.
Hamel earned her master’s degree in ethics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. She is a respected instructor and speaker for professional associations across Canada, including the majority of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) provincial bodies, the Municipal Internal Auditors Association, and the Ontario Association of School Business Officials, among others. Her TEDx talk “Becoming as Ethical as We Think We Are” is used in higher education classrooms across North America.
