Principles to Protocols: Letters to My Son by Dwayne Matthews

Available August 8
Principles to Protocols by Dwayne Matthews

Written over a 14-year period, Principles to Protocols began as a private journal from a father to his son but turned into a profound and practical playbook for anyone seeking to build a life of purpose, resilience, and continuous growth.

A future strategist and innovation evangelist, Dwayne Matthews shares his operating system for personal development — the Matthews Method, a powerful framework built on the principles of will, imagination, and habit. He equips readers with the tools to put that system into action, with actionable protocols, essential mental models for clear thinking, and proven study techniques for lifelong learning.

Dwayne’s core mission is to help unlock “Stranded Brilliance”, the unique, often unmeasured potential that lies within every individual, waiting for the right mindset and methods to be unleashed. More than just a guide to personal success, this book is a manual for engineering your own education, for asking better questions, and for building the character and resilience that will define you, today and tomorrow.

Kihiani: A Memoir of Healing by Susan Aglukark

Available September 2
Kihiani by Susan Aglukark

Profoundly honest and moving, Kihiani is the uplifting story of award-winning singer-songwriter Susan Aglukark’s journey to healing and self-discovery.

Born in Fort Churchill, Manitoba, Susan was raised in Arviat, a predominantly Inuit community on the western edges of Hudson Bay. Susan and her six siblings grew up in a humble but loving home, but at age 8, while living in Rankin Inlet, Susan’s life was disrupted by a life-changing event, a distinct separation that created a schism inside her and from which she continues to heal.

At 15, Susan started writing poetry and when she had the chance to leave her community, she grabbed it like a lifeline. Eventually, Susan was approached by a producer at CBC who was making a compilation album of Arctic artists and years later, she signed with a major label for her third album, This Child.

The disruption and milestones, the turmoil and joy, the devastation and healing — this is Susan’s story of discovering her Inuk self.
