Leslie Beck helps people improve their diet, manage their weight, boost their energy levels, and prevent disease. A recognized authority on nutrition and food issues, Beck provides keynote speeches and workshops that are tailored to meet the goals of whatever groups she is speaking to, from high-performance athletes looking to increase their fitness levels, to people just starting on the path to increasing their well-being.

Having a strong interest in sports nutrition, Beck acted as nutritionist to the Canadian International Marathon and the NBA’s Toronto Raptors Basketball Club. Currently, she is the national director of nutrition for Body Science Centers, where she oversees the development and implementation of all nutrition and diet programs for the organization.

She is also the author of 12 health-related books, including The Plant-Based Power Diet, Leslie Beck’s Healthy Kitchen, Leslie Beck’s Longevity Diet, The Complete A to Z Nutrition Encyclopedia, The Complete Nutrition Guide for Women, Heart Healthy Foods for Life, and Foods that Fight Disease.

A prominent media figure, Beck writes a weekly column in The Globe and Mail, acts as a nutrition expert for CTV News, and can be heard regularly on CJAD Morning Radio.

Beck holds her Bachelor of Science (Dietetics) from the University of British Columbia and completed the dietetic internship program at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. She studied a Masters in Epidemiology at the University of Toronto, and is a member of Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
