That Canadian Guy

Glen Foster has been one of the top comedians in Canada for over thirty years.   A mainstay on the Canadian circuit, Glen didn’t just work the road, he’s one of the comics who built it.  And he is still going strong, having recently made his eighth televised appearance at the prestigious Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival. His unique blend of clever, observational humour, and his ability to entertain a wider variety of audiences have made him much in demand as an entertainer at corporate functions throughout North America and around the world.

In addition to Just for Laughs, Glen has starred in two Comedy Network specials and appeared on numerous other television shows. He is also a frequent guest on the popular CBC Radio show The Debaters, and has released a concert DVD as well as three CDs — his latest being, Prickly: Live at The Rose Theatre.

“That Canadian Guy” is a reference to Glen’s first network comedy special, during which he joked about the fact people could call him, “That Canadian Guy” if they couldn’t remember his name. Sure enough, after the show aired, Glen received a flood of e-mail from viewers who said, “I couldn’t remember your name, but I remembered “That Canadian Guy.”
