Stop Trying & Start Doing
Do you ever have light bulb moments? What do you do with that wisdom? As a business coach and inspirational speaker, Rhonda Victoor helps people recognize those BIG gems and then act on them. She believes that it is acting on one BIG gem that separates a good intention from a great career. Victoor is the founder of INCITE Coaching, and the author of Awakening the Workplace. Victoor’s inspiring stories are guaranteed to move you from trying to doing!
Rhonda Victoor is an expert in the rituals of high performance. It was those rituals that lead her to become the World Effective Speaking Champion after winning competitions in Ecuador (while pregnant) and Japan (only 2 weeks after giving birth to her first child).
Since founding Incite Coaching in Kelowna, BC, Canada over a decade ago Rhonda has coached professionals across Europe, North and South America. When they apply these rituals her clients become wildly effective and deeply satisfied, true signs of high performance.
Along with her coaching expertise she brings experiences growing up in small-town Alberta (picture just one paved street), and early years working as a business manager and fitness trainer.
Rhonda practises her rituals of high performance in business and in life: creating time for her husband Dave & their two young children, weekly hikes up Knox mountain and the occasional hip-hop dance class. Her stories are guaranteed to move you from trying to doing!
For her significant contribution to the community she received the prestigious Young Woman of Distinction award and the BC Chamber of Commerce recognized her as one of their Best and Brightest entrepreneurs!
Coach Victoor is widely published: her co-authored book, Awakening the Workplace, and her audio-book, Out with Schmoozing: Keys to Successful Networking, will inspire success in your business and your life.
Victoor lives by the words of the great Star Wars Jedi master, Yoda "Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try."

Connect with your Audience – Deliver Powerful Presentations
After nearly 2 years of gruelling competition Rhonda became the World Effective Speaking Champion in Japan in November 2004: an event attended by 10,000 business leaders. Now she will share the GEMS that helped her become a world class speaker!
• ask the right questions to expertly research your audience
• map out an impactful speech on a single page, rooted in one simple core message
• bookend your presentation with a captivating intro and a powerful close
• engage the audience with stories and original analogies they will remember
• incorporate interactive elements to involve participants
• match your message to your actions: body language, eye contact, and gestures
• make PowerPoint, and other visuals, your side-kick not your biggest distraction
• rehearse like a pro in minimal time, to solidify yourself as the expert
• hone the formula to nail the question period, or impromptu portion
• recover when everything seems to go wrong
• calm your jitters and build confidence
Everyone will have an opportunity to present and receive feedback. Whether you want to MC a friend's wedding or nail your next client or professional presentation this will set you on path to world class speaking! -
Connect for Effect - Building Strong Colleague Relationships
Relationships are central to personal success and the building blocks of our company's sense of community. Using years of networking success coupled with the Gallop Poll research of Tom Rath (in his book Vital Friends) Coach Rhonda Victoor challenges us to:
• Shift our communication focus from efficient (doing many things quickly) to effective (doing the right things, with the right people)
• Within that context, explore communication best practices around email etiquette, sensitive issues, and making supportive connections
• Hone the under-used communication tool of powerful questions to replace assumption with understanding and therefore reduce the number of 'difficult people' we deal with
• Expand and deepen peer connections with advanced networking strategies so we can better navigate through daily work challenges
You bring tremendous quality and attention to your work. Now what if you applied that same focus to how you communicate in all of your relationships: the strong ones and the weaker ones. the ones up/down, left/right, inside/outside the organization. What outstanding new results might you achieve? Prepare to connect for effect as we strengthen our community at work and beyond. -
Stop Trying & Start Doing – Applying the Rituals of High Performance
What do you really want? Greater success in your work? Satisfaction in life? We’ve all heard great advice on how to achieve that. But we don’t act on it. We don’t change. We ‘try’ and then shrug our shoulders and continue down the same path we’ve always walked. We try in work. And try in life. But we don’t do it.
Are you ready to stop trying and start doing? For a decade Coach Rhonda Victoor has coached people like us to stop trying…and start doing the things that will make us wildly effective and deeply satisfied [that’s what high performance is really all about]. She helps her clients to evolve – to transform their behaviour – by implementing the systems and processes they’ve struggled to implement before!
Now she’s going to share those rituals of high performance with us! In this program we will:
1. connect our own story to the compelling stories of busy professionals Rhonda’s coached over the past decade
2. ditch the defeating self-talk and uncover the 3 tiny lies that keep us stuck in old patterns:
- procrasti-lie: for those who take procrastination to an art form
- I-can-do-it-all-today-lie: common to those highly efficient and nearing burnout
- perfection-lie: often disguised as high-achievement syndrome
3. stop shoulding ourselves and get clear on what we really want in work and life: rituals of vision
4. examine where our energy for action is at and exactly how to boost it: rituals of energy
5. stop listing and start connecting: rituals of relationships
6. stop tiny-tasking (a.k.a. multi-tasking): rituals of focus
7. commit to 2 new rituals that will move us quickly toward what we really want!
Whether you want to operate at a higher (more satisfied) level in your work, life, or family, these rituals of high performance will shift you from trying to doing what’s really BIG to you! -
Out With Shmoozing – networking with clients and colleagues
For years we’ve heard about the value of networking. Yet we grumble at the thought of it. Rooms full of stuffy suits with not a familiar face in sight...rubbing elbows...schmoozing!
Say goodbye to that schmoozey style of networking. It actually IS possible to network authentically and Coach Rhonda Victoor does that expertly. She used these principles to grow her company internationally: in one year alone she worked with clients in Sweden, Belgium, Scotland and Brazil!
In this highly interactive session she will coach you to:
1. break into networking clusters with class and confidence
2. introduce yourself in a way that leaves them curious to know more
3. create engaging conversation that has nothing to do with the weather
4. take the pressure off by making it all about them
5. transition from small talk to connection so you actually have something to follow up on
6. avoid becoming a business card thruster
7. end a networking conversation without mumbling a “must use the washroom” excuse
8. mentor others using temporary abandonment
This presentation will motivate you from schmoozing to authentic connection! Join the thousands who have increased their confidence and networking results! -

The session you put on for the IG Okanagan Region management team was terrific. We were all able to come away with valuable gems in understanding human behaviour. Thanks for a thought provoking session!!
-
We loved Rhonda’s presentation. Right away she proved to us that she understood our work and used the terminology we connect with. It was so much better than the canned presentations we’ve seen from other speakers. Plus she was enthusiastic and motivating keeping us all awake through an afternoon, which can be a challenging task at a conference. We look forward to working with Rhonda again!
-
A great way to start our conference; Rhonda is very high energy. She used our Indiana Jones adventure theme of our conference to show clients how they could find “gems” and “hidden treasures” throughout the conference and also in their day-to-day roles and tasks. Everyone really seemed to enjoy Rhonda’s presentation; for many, it was the highlight of our conference.
