Few high profile journalists have Michael Vaughan’s range of “real world” business experience.

Former host of Report on Business Television’s daily business talk show, Vaughan is now partnering with Jeremy Cato and achieving great success for the third year with the television series Car/Business. It’s on the full CTV Network every Saturday and is also broadcast in primetime on Report on Business Television. Their newspaper columns appear every Thursday in The Globe and Mail Wheels Section. Vaughan is also the President of Tier One Communications Corp., a television production company he began in 1988. And a partner in UV Pure Technologies Inc., a Canadian company which designs and manufactures water disinfection equipment and a partner in ZBx Corp., a Canadian biomedical company which has developed and manufactures FDA approved rapid format diagnostic devices.

From 1979 to 1987 Mr. Vaughan was a National Reporter for CBC Television and Radio in bureaus including Parliament Hill, Toronto and Halifax. As a business reporter he co-hosted CBC TV's prime time business program "Venture".

Vaughan’s career path has travelled through senior levels of Canadian business and broadcasting. His wide-ranging broadcast journalism career covered federal elections, national politics, business, crime, natural disasters and general news. He was a national reporter for CBC Television and Radio covering Toronto, Halifax and Parliament Hill, and co-hosted CBC TV’s Venture with Patrick Watson on Sunday nights. Prior to that, he was an entrepreneur, a company president, and a director of a number of public and private companies.
