WILLIAM THOMAS
Best-Selling Author & Humourist
William Thomas is a very funny speaker. A syndicated humour columnist (All the World’s a Circus) and radio personality (From the Land of the Looney), William speaks on all things Canadian, current and slightly askew.
He is the author of several best-selling books, including Malcolm and Me–Life in the Litterbox, Hey! Is That Guy Dead or Is He the Skip? Curling and Other Stories I Wished I’d Never Written, Guys – Not Real Bright and Damn Proud of It, Margaret and Me, and The Dog Rules (Damn Near Everything!). His latest book is Never Hitchhike on the Road Less Travelled. Thomas's writing was recently included in the great Canadian Anthology of Humour along with the best 50 humour writers in Canada, from Stephen Leacock to today.
For television, Thomas has written “Breaking All The Rules–The Story of Trivial Pursuit”, and “Chasing The Dream”, a documentary on Toronto Blue Jays prospects.
A speaker and lecturer, Thomas presents humour seminars at the Chautauqua Institute in New York State and the Stephen Leacock Museum in Orillia, Ontario. Twice nominated for Gemini Awards for television movies he’s written, an event with William at the microphone is upbeat, uplifting and downright fun.
