As a competitor in the world’s largest sporting event, the Indianapolis 500, St. James masterfully drove her way to earn Rookie of the Year honors in 1992. With seven-Indy 500’s to her credit, St. James has successfully competed against the best in the world in the 100 year history of the race.    

She is as dedicated to advancing opportunities for female athletes as she is to her driving career, St. James has also served as President of the Women’s Sports Foundation. In 1994, she founded the Women in the Winner’s Circle Foundation, an educational organization that focuses on worldwide activities and programs for automotive safety and driver development. In her autobiography, Lyn St. James: An Incredible Journey, she provides inspirational advice for everyone as she recounts her career as a world-renowned Indy driver.
