Where do we find the vision to take our lives to the next level? Perhaps there is no one better to answer this question than acclaimed photojournalist and film director Dewitt Jones. Jones, who had two films nominated for Academy Awards before he was thirty, and is one of North America’s most celebrated photographers, shares his secrets for accessing creativity to allow for dreams to flourish.
As a motion picture director, Jones had two films nominated for Academy Awards: Climb was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film and John Muir’s High Sierra was nominated for Best Short Subject Documentary. In addition, Jones has worked for over twenty years with the National Geographic as a photojournalist. In advertising, Jones rose to the forefront of corporate creative marketing photographing national advertising campaigns for Dewar’s Scotch, Canon, and United Airlines.
He has published nine books, including The Nature Of Leadership, created in collaboration with Stephen R. Covey (The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People). Dewitt’s column, “Basic Jones,” appears monthly in Outdoor Photographer magazine.
