Hailed the “Queen of Comedy” and “Canada’s Tina Fey” by The Canadian Press, Carla Collins is an award-winning bilingual comedian, actress, television host and author who brings her unique mix of wit and professionalism to every event she appears in, whether delivering her hilarious, side-splitting stand-up routines, or hosting corporate to red carpet events.

Carla is a celebrity panelist on Super Channel’s new comedy, Too Much Information, a regular fixture on Entertainment Tonight Canada, and can be seen regularly on City TV’s Breakfast Television talking about celebrity gossip and fashion. She was also the host of Canada’s highest rated national entertainment show eNow.

On the radio, Carla hosts Collins with a Twist, a weekly, faced-paced, light-hearted current affairs talk show on ConnectMeRadio.com and is the co-host of Landon Nation on KCAA 1050 in Los Angeles, with her comedy currently in rotation on Sirius XM’s Canada Laughs, channel 168.

As a stand-up comedian, Carla was named “The funniest woman in comedy” by BeautyStyleWatch magazine in Los Angeles and  “2015 Comedian of the Year” by the Southern California Motion Picture Council. Headlining clubs and theatres throughout North Ameria, she has performed at The Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, The Jon Lovitz Club and Flappers in LA and Yuk Yuks across Canada. Carla has also been featured at Just for Laughs, the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, and the Vancouver Comedy Festival. She is currently working on The Last Laugh, a sitcom she created about performing stand-up at funerals

Carla’s CTV Comedy Now special, The Wonder Bra Years, won the Gold Award at the Houston Comedy Festival. She has also appeared in the CBC Comedy Festival special, Does this Joke Make Me Look Fat? Her hysterical television series, Carlawood, airs on TVtropolis and the Global Reality Channel, and she has appeared in several films, as well as Scare Tactics, The Strombo Show and Paradise Falls.

Carla’s bestselling book Angels, Vampires and Douche Bags, was touted as the world’s first comedic motivational tome, and received unanimous glowing reviews. She is now writing her second book, a humorous and heartfelt homage to her mother entitled 50 Shades of Grief.

Elles s’est produite à Juste pour rires, aux festivals d’humour de Vancouver, de Winnipeg et de Las Vegas.

Outre ses passages télévisés dans presque toutes les émissions canadiennes possibles, Carla a animé sur CTV l’émission nationale de divertissement intitulée E Now, l’émission-débat de jour Eye on Toronto et The Wonderbra Years. En 2006, elle a fait équipe avec le producteur Frank Sicoli pour une comédie de situation improvisée intitulée The Visionary Position. Cette série sortie sur DVD est un mélange de Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sex and the City et Bewitched. Son atelier de comédie mené en solo a rencontré un grand succès tant auprès des critiques que des téléspectateurs.

Lorsque Collins n’est pas devant les caméras, on la retrouve au poste de rédactrice de culture populaire pour le magazine Inside Entertainment. Elle a en outre signé des articles dans plusieurs publications, y compris Flare, Elle et The Globe and Mail.

Entrepreneure, Collins occupe les postes de vice-présidente des communications, d’ambassadrice et de blogueuse et animatrice de TheDivineWomen.com, le site Web et magazine en ligne le plus en vogue décrit comme « Entourage with breasts ». Carla a récemment conçu pour Portfolio Entertainment une caricature intitulée « Air Cougar » qui est en préparation.
