After catching a bus to NYC with $80 in his pocket, he lived and worked at a hostel for two-and-a-half months while doing nightly shows at Joe Franklin’s Comedy Works. In the same year, Pue landed in San Francisco to perform at the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition. Upon winning the competition, he boarded a bus to L.A., where he spent the next two years at The Hollywood Hostel, living and performing twice a week.
Pue caught his big break in 2003 when he was cast on MTV’s Punk'd. While he pulled televised shenanigans on unassuming celebrities such as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Pue continued to do shows up and down the west coast, including a weekly gig at the Melrose Improv. In 2004, he performed at the Just For Laughs comedy festival, and he also filmed a performance on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.
Returning to the road, Pue toured North America’s clubs, bars and banquet halls, occasionally returning to L.A. to audition for films or to shoot a pilot. He shot a pilot for TBS called “One Night Stand Up” and in 2007, he shot his first comedy special on CTV’s Comedy Now!
