McKeown is a renowned consultant, author, speaker and coach who works exclusively with C-Level executive teams in developing and implementing business growth strategies. A native of Ireland, he was awarded First Place and the Samuel Smyth Memorial Prize as a Chartered Accountant (CPA) in the UK and was, at that time, the youngest qualified Chartered Accountant in the UK. After a brief period with Price Waterhouse (now PwC), McKeown became Ireland's youngest ever accounting firm partner.
After founding his own consulting practice and advising organizations and government agencies on business growth, McKeown sold his practice to the UK consulting firm Capita plc and spent the next decade as a serial entrepreneur, launching over 40 businesses, including the Pizza Hut master license for Ireland. During that time, McKeown co-founded a business incubation and growth consultancy, which designed and ran the European Union award-winning ‘Entrepreneurship Program’ which launched hundreds of businesses employing thousands of individuals world-wide. When he sold his share in that practice to his business partner in 1998, it had grown to a 13-office, worldwide training and consulting business.
As part of the sale of his share in the business, McKeown took over its US operations, and in 1999, he relocated to the US, from where he has been writing, teaching and consulting in high-performance organizational development with owner-managed organizations and Fortune 500 companies.
McKeown’s clients include Harvard University; The US Army; Pella Corporation; Chiron Corporation; T-Mobile; United Technologies Corporation; The National Security Agency; American Express Incentive Services; Canadian Defence Department; MI-SWACO; St Vincent Health; Verisign; and many others.
