Ezra Levant
Conservative Pundit
Ezra Levant knows when to talk - but he knows when to rant, too! An insider with the Conservative Party for years, for the real scoop on Canada's growing conservative movement, it's tough to beat a presentation by Ezra Levant. His talks are energetic, entertaining, articulate, insightful, controversial, and sure to provoke a great deal of discussion and debate.
Ezra Levant is a lawyer, author, blogger and general trouble-maker.
After graduating from law school, he went to Ottawa as a parliamentary assistant to Preston Manning. It was to be the first of many romantic but doomed political campaigns.
Levant joined the editorial board of The National Post newspaper, shortly after it’s founding. His beat included national politics, the Supreme Court and the Middle East.
In 2004, Levant became the founding publisher of the Western Standard magazine, the only Canadian media outlet to publish the Danish cartoons of Mohammed. That led to two charges of “hate speech” before the Alberta government’s human rights commission.
Levant wrote a book about the experience, called Shakedown, which exposed the illiberal nature of Canadian human rights commissions. His next book called, Ethical Oil: The Moral Case for Canada’s Oilsands, was published in August 2010.
He lives in Calgary, where he spends more time blogging at ezralevant.com than actually practising law.

Lobbyists, politicians, do-gooders, busy-bodies and lawyers--lots and lots of lawyers--are attacking your personal liberty.
Drive an SUV? Smoke the occasional cigar? Eat fast food? Not for long, you don't--not if the new Prohibitionists have their way.
They'll berate you, tax you and sue you, all the while telling you it's for your own good.
The War on Fun has begun. If you hope to preserve your way of life, you'll need to arm yourself. From Canada's most entertaining right wing rebel, Ezra Levant, comes a fascinating and alarming look at what's really going on in the battle against our lifestyles--and how Canadians can fight back against the onslaught before it's too late.5.
