Terry Leibel is a member of an elite group - female sportscasters. Terry Leibel was the first woman to do play-by-play for the Olympics, handling cycling, equestrian and white-water events for NBC during the Summer Games in Barcelona. Leibel dedicated her career to the coverage of amateur sports and was, once again, proud to be an Olympic host for CBC's coverage of the Olympic Games in Torino, 2006.  Since her retirement, Terry has been inducted into Jump Canada's Hall of Fame and the CBC's Sports Hall of Fame.

Terry Leibel is a member of an elite group - female sportscasters. She was the first woman to co-host CBC Sports' Olympic coverage - the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta. At the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, she combined her broadcast and athletic experience to bring a unique perspective as the afternoon show host, a role she reprised at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Summer Games.

Following her retirement from competitive riding as a member of Canada's National Equestrian Team for ten years, Leibel was an analyst for CBC Sports' coverage of equestrian events at Spruce Meadows.

With the launch of The Sports Network (TSN), Leibel became the first woman to host a national sports program - Sportsdesk. She later returned to CBC as co-host of Sportsweekend with Brian Williams. Leibel is Canada's premier show jumping analyst, and has been a member of on-air teams covering thoroughbred racing for both CBC and NBC.  Since her retirement, Terry has been inducted into Jump Canada's Hall of Fame and the CBC's Sports Hall of Fame.
