Margot has been a favourite with film and television audiences throughout North America for 25 years. She has acted in over 40 features and 100 television shows. She is known internationally for her role as Lois Lane in the Superman movies with Christopher Reeve, and for her cult hit, 92 in the Shade. Kidder has also been an active director of films and documentaries. Kidder's documentaries include, Speaking Our Peace: Women in the Peace Movement, American Sportsman and Yellowknife: Return Journey. She is currently at work on a book about her experiences in the film world.
When not involved in dramatic circles, Kidder has been an outspoken and widely recognized supporter of the Peace Movement and Amnesty International. Margot is also an advocate for mental health and alternative treatments. She fights for herself and others against the stigmas of psychiatric labels.
