  • 2. The 9-Second Attention Span:

Selling Your Brand, and Yourself, in Social Media

We live in a world with ADD. While the average attention span used to be 20 minutes today, the average attention span is roughly 9 seconds. Nine seconds. Thatʼs the same as a goldfish!  You only get 9 seconds to introduce yourself, or sell your idea, or start a conversation.  After that, people get distracted. Especially in social media, where attention darts from one message to the next.  Yet when we do break through- when we create messages that connect and
communicate- the rewards are extraordinary.  Sally Hogshead reveals how to triumph in this 9-second world, with an emphasis on using social media for your online brand. Taking audiences on a thrilling ride inside the brain, she explores this accelerated trend and teaches audiences how to instantly capture attention through their messages on Twitter, Facebook, websites, and sales.  Participants learn how to identify their unique selling advantages, and articulate this more clearly in all areas of their professional brand.

  • 1. FASCINATE: The Shortcut to Persuasion

Companies must fascinate, or fail.  How can your company command this powerful force of attraction?  Sally Hogshead reveals the secret. Her proprietary research and internationally acclaimed book, Fascinate, include a groundbreaking national study on the science of fascination. She discovered that the human brain is hardwired to focus on 7 specific "triggers." With a high-voltage style and vibrant imagery, Sally teaches audiences how to harness attention using her Fascinate system. This keynote is a multi-media experience. Audiences travel on a high-velocity journey through neurology, advertising and pop culture. Sally delivers riveting case studies and research, long with practical ways that individuals and brands can immediately become

Fascinate: Your 7 Triggers To Persuasion And Captivation

Why are you captivated by some people but not by others? Why do you recall some brands yet forget the rest? In a distracted, overcrowded world, how do certain leaders, friends, and family members convince you to change your behavior? Fascination: the most powerful way to influence decision making. It's more persuasive than marketing, advertising, or any other form of communication. And it all starts with seven universal triggers: lust, mystique, alarm, prestige, power, vice, and trust. To explore and explain fascination's irresistible influence, Sally Hogshead looks beyond marketing, delving into behavioral and social studies, historical precedents, neurobiology and evolutionary anthropology, as well as conducting in-depth interviews and a national study of a thousand consumers, to emerge with deeply rooted patterns for why, and how, we become captivated.
