1. Divorce Sucks, but Your Life Doesn't Have To!!!
Moving on from a painful relationship or divorce takes a whole lot of courage, tenacity, and focus, and no one knows this better then Mary Jo Eustace. Married for 13 years, Mary Jo packed up her life and career in Toronto and relocated to Los Angeles to further her former-husband Dean McDermott's acting career. They settled into a quaint sprawling ranch house surrounded by citrus trees and Bouganvillia and embraced the California lifestyle.
Then her husband got a job! And on top of that they also fulfilled a long-time dream of expanding their family with the adoption of their daughter, Lola Elizabeth. Life was pretty perfect, until a three week Lifetime Movie shoot changed all that. Dean left Mary Jo for his co-star, Tori Spelling, and announced their marriage was over in People magazine! How romantic.
Cut to tabloid scrutiny, a jeopardized adoption, mounting legal bills, a Fijian wedding (Dean's and Tori's) and reality shows and you have your basic Hollywood divorce played out in all its humiliating glory. How does one recover from such personal and public trauma and move forward in a positive and empowering way?
Mary Jo can explain how. Borrowing from her bestselling book Divorce Sucks, Mary Jo will share the good, bad and the ugly and the skills and choices that can help lead one back from the brink of total emotional and financial failure into the light of choice and well-being. Whether you are coming out of a bad situation or looking how to motivate and direct positive energy, Mary Jo's experience and personal track record can reinforce the power of change. Mary Jo will also explain how to get back in the dating game, whatever your dating challenge might be. Whether it is getting back in the dating game after years of being in a couple, or how to go about dating when you are a parent, Mary Jo shares her answers with both wit and wisdom.
With over 15 years of media experience, two hit TV shows, four bestselling books and numerous appearances on Larry King, Joy Behar, Good Morning America and The Today Show, Mary Jo knows how to deliver her message in an entertaining and meaningful way.
