Diane Dupuy triumphed in the face of numerous roadblocks related to educational and professional opportunities. She discovered an inspirational formula that allowed her to rise to the highest level and motivate teams to great achievements.

She is a captivating orator, the celebrated founder of Famous PEOPLE Players and author of four best selling books. She is a Member of the Order of Canada and has received five honourary degrees from universities across the country. Her internationally acclaimed high-tech theatre company performed for US President Ronald Reagan, with Liberace in Las Vegas, on Broadway in New York, at Radio City Music Hall, in the Peoples Republic of China, in Japan several times, at Expo in Korea and in Vancouver.

Her life story became the movie Special People and was featured on the TV show 7th Heaven. Other television credits include the Emmy Award winning documentary A Little Like Magic, Phil Donahue, Good Morning America, Regis, Adrienne Clarkson Presents and most recently Black Light Dreams, a one hour feature which aired on CBC and A&E Breakfast with the Arts.

As a motivational speaker, Diane has traveled extensively, touching hearts across the world with her inspirational story. In 2003, Diane was invited by Dr. Deepak Chopra to Puerto Rico where she spoke as a panelist, alongside former US Vice-President Al Gore, at the Alliance for New Humanity and she recently completed three years of training in Advanced Gestalt Leadership. Her fifth book, due out in late 2008, provides new insights on customer service excellence for which her Toronto-based Dine & Dream operations are legendary.

  • 6. Teamwork

    One person can make a difference but it is a TEAM that can create a miracle. Teamwork is demonstrated in this workshop through the use of theatre and the puppets that put the "Famous" in Famous PEOPLE Players. Diane Dupuy's workshop will fill your audience with excitement as they learn to demonstrate their performing skills on stage.

    It takes three people, working in complete unison, to bring one Famous puppet of Elvis to life on stage. One working the legs, another on the arms and the third person holding up the head and body. Dancing and singing to the music together shows audiences and the people bringing Elvis to life how cooperation and teamwork make for a truly magical performance.

    Diane will introduce great Famous characters like Liberace, Tina Turner, Rod Stewart and Elvis Presley. Through their special performance, we will have your employees reaching for the stars..... together.

She uses examples from her years working with Famous PEOPLE Players, teaching the importance of having pride in oneself which is demonstrated through appearances and work performance.     Diane has been in business for 33 years and the secret to her success is to set a single goal and then find the means to make it happen. The next step is to then create your next goal and so on. Diane's "to do" list is completed each day, her daily goals are varied and realistic. She emphasizes the importance of keeping things fresh and keeping motivated by a continuous stream of goals. Her achievements include establishing the first theatre company dedicated to people who have developmental disabilities, opening a permanent home in the form of a Dinner Theatre and now building a new residence and environmentally green Famous PEOPLE Players Centre for Exceptional Achievement.
  • 2. Leadership by Not Giving Up

    The past 33 years building the Famous PEOPLE Players have been challenging, and Diane continues to collide with obstacles along the way. She views these as hurdles, not concrete walls. She has faced issues from government support, financial setbacks, finding a home for the company, to motivating employees to share the vision. Diane believes you are only as good as the people who work for you. Despite all of the ups and downs, Diane has never given up and neither has her team.
  • 1. Dare to Dream

    In this talk, Diane uses her story of establishing Famous PEOPLE Players to demonstrate what can happen when you dare to dream. She talks about her vision and the misconception people have about dreamers, namely, that they may have imagination but their ideas are difficult or impractical. With a mountain of obstacles stacked against her, Diane persevered and through blind determination she made her dreams come true, in turn triggering the realization of thousands of achievements by the other Players. Diane says, "Through one dream, a thousand dreams unfold".
