Known for her infectious laughter and magnetic personality, Kim D’Eon has carved a unique path in Canadian television industry over the past ten years. From youth show host, to consumer reporter to entertainment insider, D’Eon’s versatility has elevated her to the top of Canadian broadcasting. Currently in her sixth season as senior reporter for Entertainment Tonight Canada, her natural ease, combined with her quick wit and intelligence, has earned the praise of industry insiders and audiences alike.

Known for her infectious laughter and magnetic personality, Kim D'Eon knows how to light up the small screen. From youth show host, to consumer reporter to entertainment insider, D'Eon's versatility, wit, humour and warmth has endeared her to Canadian viewers for over a decade.

Currently in enjoying her 6th season on Entertainment Tonight Canada, Kim travels the world interviewing the biggest celebrities and most interesting artists of our time.

Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Kim holds an honours degree in journalism. She started her broadcasting career in 1998, with the CBC at the award-winning youth consumer show, Street Cents. In 1999, after just her first year hosting a national program, Kim earned a Gemini nomination. Over the next three years, the show won 3 Geminis and an International Emmy. Following that success, Kim went on to report for many other CBC shows including Marketplace and CBC Newsworld. She also contributed to the first season of CBC's The Hour.

Entering the fast-paced and electric entertainment world was a thrilling shift for D'Eon in 2005 when she joined the budding new cast of Entertainment Tonight Canada. As senior reporter, she has interviewed some of the most influential actors in the industry including: Angelina Jolie, Leonardo Dicaprio, Jennifer Aniston, Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington and musical idols and icons such as Ringo Starr, Mariah Carey, The Beastie Boys, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake.

When not on the ET Canada set in Toronto, Kim spends much of her time traveling between Los Angeles and New York interviewing celebrities and covering red-carpet events. She has covered everything from the Golden Globes, to Screen Actor's Guild Awards to the Grammy's. Her assignments have brought her to such exotic locations as Jamaica, Hawaii, Mexico, Barbados, Belgium, Bora Bora and Rio De Janeiro. She has hosted various ET Canada specials abroad including The Canadian Tenors in Africa, the 2010 Food Network Chef Challenge in the Dominican Republic and, most recently, The 2011 Cannes Film Festival. 

Kim also co-hosted the prestigious Banff World TV Festival Gala with Jason Priestly in 2010 where notable guests and honorees included, Ricky Gervais, William Shatner, and Eric McCormack.

Outside of her hectic schedule, Kim has donated her time to bringing awareness to many charitable causes including Lupus, Sick Kids Hospital, Heart and Stroke, the Diabetes Association of Canada,  Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Care Canada.
