
Lorne Cardinal
Gemini-Winning Actor & Director
Lorne Cardinal is one of Canada's most-recognized aboriginal actors and directors and well known for his role as the hilarious Sgt. Davis Quinton on the CTV sitcom Corner Gas. Lorne won two Gemini Awards for his work in Wapos Bay and Corner Gas as well as numerous nominations for his body of acting work. He is also the recipient of an honourary PhD from Thompson Rivers University.
Lorne Cardinal is one of Canada's most-recognized aboriginal actors and directors and well known for his role as the hilarious Sgt. Davis Quinton on the CTV sitcom Corner Gas. Following the series, Lorne has starred in the films Rust with Corbin Bernsen and Disney’s Flicka 2. He also finished the APTN pilot Wolf Canyon and recently hosted the CBC comedy special Turtle Island Too.
Lorne has also been busy on the stage acting in a touring production of Thunderstick, and also recently directed a production of Thomson Highways’ Ernistine Shushwap Gets Her Trout and Three Little Birds by Kenneth T. Williams.
Lorne’s previous Film and TV acting credits include some of the most memorable Canadian-made series, including Wapos Bay, North of 60, Blackfly, Lonesome Dove and Jake and the Kid, and has directed episodes of Renegadepress.com, Moccasin Flats and Rabbit Fall.
He is also a recurring host for Award shows such as; National Aboriginal Achievement Awards, Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards, National Aboriginal Day, The Dreamcatchers Gala, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

Lorne lives on the west coast of BC with his partner, the writer, workshop facilitator and stand-up comedian Monique Hurteau.

From the Bush to the Bard
