Andrew Bell
Journalist & Host on BNN's Commodities, Market Call and The Pitch
Andrew Bell worked as an investment reporter and editor with The Globe and Mail for 12 years prior to joining BNN as the host of both Commodities and Market Call, two of the most-watched shows on Business News Network, Canada's only all business and financial news channel. Andrew is also the host of BNN's exciting new weekly show, The Pitch, a program that sees Canadian entrepreneurs hoping to entice risk capitalists to invest in their business and help take their dreams to the next level. Whether he's talking about investing in resource shares or sharing secrets about the real life of a financial broadcaster, Andrew delivers the hard truth about investing, often using mordant humour and delicious irony to make his points.

Andrew Bell facilitated the CGA-Canada Forum on SME issues held in Ottawa in May 2010. He did a fabulous job. He was available to help us plan the event and was well prepared to engage participants in a substantive discussion of the issues at the roundtable and at a public event. The Forum was successful thanks to Andrew's involvement. We would retain him again anytime.

For the last two years, Andrew Bell has been an integral part of the Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way. As a part of BNN’s media sponsorship, Andrew helped kicked off the race in style. Witty and engaging, Andrew provides just the correct balance of entertainment and substance. He made the runners laugh and got them excited for the race to begin, all the while reminding them about the cause that they are running for. Andrew was a pleasure to work with. We sincerely thank Andrew Bell for his commitment to United Way Toronto and hope he returns in 2011.

Amusing. Refreshing. Without a doubt one of the most interesting and well received presentations we have had in the 17 years of putting on conferences for the oil & gas brokerage and banking communities. Our audience begged for more!

Andrew was a big hit with the audience, charming them with his presence. His speech explaining the demographics and workings of BNN was informative, witty and entertaining. We hope Mr. Bell will come back again whenever he has the time. Because of the overwhelming response to his talk, we persuaded him to appear on Rogers TV as a celebrity host for our annual Rotary TV auction. I highly recommend Andrew as a speaker. His knowledge of financial journalism is prodigious and his delivery most impressive.
